Homestead Funding would like to welcome Brian Lalik to our Brewerton, NY branch! Brian recently switched from his position as an IT consultant to working as a Licensed Loan Originator. He is originally from Fair Haven, NY and now lives in Manlius, NY. Before joining Homestead, Brian spent thirteen years in the IT field.
Brian describes himself as family oriented and enjoys playing sports with his two sons. He says that he is excited to be a part of Homestead because of the team atmosphere and because the company has many product offerings for its customers. Brian is glad to work for a company that provides such a wide range of products and resources for its employees so they and their clients can be successful.
Homestead Funding would like to extend a warm welcome to Phil Cunningham. He will be joining our management team and will be the Branch Manager for our new Wilmington, NC branch.
Phil brings with him almost twenty years of mortgage industry experience. He says he is excited to join Homestead because he will be a part of the company’s expansion in the Southeast. He also says he cares greatly about each and every one of his customers and referral partners.
Phil was born and raised in North Carolina and now lives in Wilmington. He is passionate about family, church and college basketball. During his free time, he enjoys fishing and golfing.

Homestead Funding would like to welcome Thomas Devlin to our New York sales team. Thomas brings over twenty years of mortgage industry experience with him and has been involved in thousands of mortgage transactions throughout his career.
Thomas is originally from Elmira, NY and attended Elmira Southside High School. He went on to graduate from SUNY Brockport. Although he moved away from Elmira for a few years, he moved back twelve years ago and has been in the area ever since.
During his free time, Thomas enjoys boating, hiking, and spending time with his family, which includes his wife and three daughters. He also coaches children’s tee-ball, softball, soccer and bowling.
Thomas says he is excited to join Homestead Funding because the company, as a mortgage lender, offers the complete package. He explained that Homestead Funding has a wide variety of mortgage products along with very competitive rates. But his biggest reason for joining the company was Homestead’s reputation for providing customers and referral partners with smooth and quick transactions; shorter processing times makes everyone happy.

Homestead Funding would like to welcome Dan Leonard to our Clifton Park (Plank Road), NY office.
Prior to arriving at Homestead Funding Corp., Dan worked in IT Network Solutions sales for three years. He graduated from SUNY Albany in 2008 with a BA in Economics. Dan says he is very passionate about setting and exceeding goals for himself. In everything he does, he wants to be the best and won’t stop until that is accomplished.
Dan has volunteered for multiple breast cancer awareness not-for-profit organizations as well as the Red Cross. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following Notre Dame football and University of North Carolina basketball, playing sports, and going to the Saratoga Race Track. He currently lives in Saratoga Springs and have been there the past three years. Before that, he lived in Boston and Niskayuna.
Dan says he is excited to work for Homestead Funding Corp. because of the company’s strong reputation as the number one residential mortgage lender in New York’s Capital Region.
Homestead Funding would like to welcome Dina Trahan to our Capital Region sales team. Before joining Homestead, Dina spent the past ten years at a local mortgage company. She has 24 years of experience in the mortgage industry and 16 years of experience in management.
Dina says she is passionate about living a fulfilling, balanced life and that community is extremely important to her. She is a room mother at Tamarac Elementary School, volunteers at the LaSalle Institute, is Vice President of the Brittonkill PTSA and is on the Shared Decision Making Committee of the Brittonkill School District. She also volunteered for the Brunswick baseball and football teams and coached soccer for the Brunswick Soccer Club. She has served on the board of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Northeastern New York for eight years, most recently serving as President. Additionally, she served as Vice President of the Professional Networking Group.
