Homestead Funding Showing Capital Pride

We showed support and solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ employees and the greater Capital Region community by marching in the Capital Pride parade on June 11! This is the second year we’ve had a company presence at the parade, although one of our Albany Loan Originators has volunteered as a parade marshal for 8 years.

Capital Pride is the largest pride celebration in the Northeast outside of New York City and Boston and occurs in Albany’s Washington Park. It’s organized by the oldest and continuously operating LGBTQ community center in the country.

Since opening in 1970, the Pride Center of the Capital Region’s mission has been to promote the wellbeing of all LGBTQ people and those affected by gender identity or expression discrimination. The Pride Center creates programming for professional and educational development and weekly groups to support gender diverse individuals, LGBTQ seniors and youth, and promote positive community. Donations support the Pride Center’s mission, programs, and services.
