The Big Climb occurred on April 20 as a national fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Supporters climb to the top of a skyscraper to raise awareness and funds to support blood cancer research and patient support. Homestead Funding was proud to be a local sponsor for the event!
As the largest running event in the Albany area, the Workforce Team Challenge serves as a fundraising event for the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club. Registration and donations benefit the Road Runners Club as well as other local nonprofits. This year’s event benefitted Wizard’s Wardrobe and Reeling for Recovery.
The American Heart Association celebrated their centennial birthday this year! Homestead Funding joined over 1,000 other supporters in participating in the 2024 Capital Region Heart Walk and Run. The event is the American Heart Association’s lead fundraiser event for research and education about heart disease, strokes, and cardiovascular health.
We participated in the Capital Pride parade for the second year in a row on June 11! Capital Pride serves as the largest pride celebration in the Northeast outside of New York City and Boston. The Pride Center of The Capital Region, who organizes the event, is the oldest and continuously operating LGBTQ community center in the country.
